We strive to bring a human approach to therapy where we put people first. We create a nonjudgmental and safe environment so everyone feels free to be their genuine self. We sit WITH you, holding space for you, no cold, short, and generic responses. We are in the moment with you, present--none of the cold awkwardness of "old school" therapy. We bring our personalities to the therapy room. We understand you need connection, we aren't "an authority figure," and won't shame you for being comfortable in our office. Our therapists acknowledge they are human too.
We use a variety of therapeutic techniques, theories, and modalities. We use your expertise on yourself, your strengths, and our knowledge about mental health to help you get what you want out of therapy. We are someone on the outside who can recognize patterns, challenge them when needed, offer ways to change that pattern, but we don't shame you if you don't want to, can't or are not ready.
We take a client centered, integrative, and holistic approach to the treatment of mental health and recognize that our client is the writer in their story.
You are a person to us. Our therapists think about you outside of session if something reminds them of you, and they remember things about you. They research, do trainings, and consult with colleagues to ensure your getting the best care. We encourage you to be you: your quirks, beliefs, culture, because everyone is different, that's the beauty of each of us.
Our brain is an organ too. Just like we take care of our physical health, we need to care for our mental health. Most people will need therapy at some point in their life for a variety of reasons. Sometimes people need help going through life transitions, with grief (loss of any kind, not always death), and for life stressors. Some people have significant trauma, major depressive disorder, anxiety, or a neurodevelopmental disorder. Some people need couples or family therapy to reduce conflict, improve communication, and strengthen their emotional connection. Sometimes a few sessions are enough, and some people need therapy on going.
We are here to provide a safe space, to help you acquire new skills, and to provide support to help you with YOU need.

We are contracted and credentialed with most major insurance companies: Aetna, Blue Cross, Cigna, Health Partners, Humana, Medica, MA (state of MN), Optum, Tricare/Triwest, Ucare, United
We also take some EAP: Optum, MN Fire, and Nuvantage.
We offer self-pay options as well.
