Jaida has her BS in Health Sciences from the University of Minnesota-Rochester. She minored in Psychology through the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.
Jaida has experience working with teens and LGBTQIA in a residential setting as direct care staff. She utilizes DBT, Emotional Focused, Narrative, and a Systemic/relational view. She believes that the client is the expert & the therapist helps guide them along their journey-whether that is someone who gently guides them, or gives them a compassionate push during the therapy process.
Jaida thinks emotions are key in a person’s life, and that they should not be something to hide from others. How we feel emotions, and how we express them, is a form of communication that we need to learn to understand about ourselves. Once we understand ourselves, we can learn to understand our interactions with others.
Jaida is Minnesotan, born and raised. She enjoys spending time with family, crocheting, reading, playing (cozy) video games, photography, and cuddling with her two cats (Macchiato & Dr. Pepper) while watching a good TV show or movie. She also loves to listen to music and does her own version of carpool karaoke (we listen and we don’t judge the sounds that are present during this time-not everyone has a voice like butter...).
